Fred Coester graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Kansas. He enjoyed over 30 years as a Project Manager and Senior Associate for the architectural firm of Sink, Combs, Dethlefs in Denver, Colorado.  

Architectural design is Fred’s passion and photography his intense interest.  In 2002 Fred established Coester Photography so that he could combine his talents and create a greater range of images that better reflect the design concepts of his projects.  His close collaboration with the Architects and understanding of the projects at Sink Combs Dethefs can be seen in the images and resulted in ongoing photography work for most of the projects in the firm. Fred’s understanding of the architectural design process has led to images that better reflect  the heart and energy of a project.

Fred’s photography has been published in numerous publications that include Architect Colorado, Athletic Business, Metal Architecture and Recreation Management.

Fred has now retired from architecture with the intention of focusing his creative energy on his photography.
